HENRY CAVILL, WHO IS RECOGNIZED AS THE NEW SUPERMAN, CONQUERS OUR HEARTS WITH HIS DEEP BLUE EYES. HE WILL NOW BE IN THE ROLE OF ANOTHER SUPER HERO. WE WANTED TO GET TO KNOW HIM BETTER AS THE SECOND SEASON OF ‘THE WITCHER’ BEGINS.

Although he has been in the industry for 20 years and has been in many productions, we wouldn’t be exaggerating if we say that we discovered him with the role of Clark Kent in the 2013 movie ‘Man of Steel’. Because of his deep blue eyes, sharp facial features and muscular physique, none other than Cavill could fit into the Superman costume like this. So we had the chance to watch the handsome actor who was perfect for this role as Clark Kent for a long time. Nowadays, in Netflix’s very interesting series, ‘The Witcher’, he is again playing a superhero role, and of course he once again manages to impress us.

The British actor, whose full name is Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill, was born on May 5, 1983 on the island of Jersey, the fourth child of a family of five boys. He first studied at St. Michael’s Preparatory School for a while and then took his first steps in acting by participating in school plays at St. Michael, where he studied as a boarding student. The handsome actor, who said he would join the military or study Ancient Egyptian History at university if he hadn’t been an actor, got his first role in the film industry at the age of 17 as Albert Mondego in Kevin Reynolds’ 2002 ‘Count of Monte Kristo’. But he made his first striking breakthrough from 2007 to 2010 with Showtime’s hit series ‘The Tudors’.

One of the main characters, he played Charles Brandon, the First Duke of Suffolk, the king’s closest friend, and with this role, he was nominated for the 2007 Golden Globe and then won an Emmy in 2008. On top of all this, Entertainment Weekly did not neglect to name Cavill as the ‘Most Striking Duke’. Cavill, who gradually climbed the steps to fame, finally hit the jackpot and grabbed his role, now identified with him, by playing Superman in the 2012 film ‘Man of Steel’, directed by Zack Synder. He then revived the role of Superman in ‘Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’, which was released in 2016, and is now the new Clark Kent of hearts. The actor, who has a huge fan base by returning to the screens with the character of Rivian Geralt in the TV series ‘The Witcher’ released in December 2019, played the character of Sherlock Holmes in the ‘Enola Holmes’ movie in 2020 and winked at us again, albeit a small one. Now we can’t wait to watch him in the second season of ‘The Witcher’.

Cavill, who speaks nine languages including Italian, German, French, Spanish and English, is a serious animal lover. He adopted a dog after filming the Superman movie and named his dog “Kal”, inspired by the Superman’s real name Kal-El on his planet. Finally, for the fancier, let’s note that it is not known whether the handsome actor currently has someone in his private life.

THE WITCHER

Based on the world-famous book series, ‘The Witcher’ is about the epic tale of a family. The series is about Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter played by Henry Cavill, trying to find a place in a world where humans can be even worse than creatures. In the series, he compares Geralt with a fateful magician and a young princess with a dangerous secret, and the adventure begins. The trio must learn to walk together on this continent that is getting more and more wild every day.

In the second season, Geralt of Rivia, who believes that Yennefer lost her life in the Battle of Sodden, brings Princess Cirilla to Kaer Morhen, the safest place she knows, the home where she was born. As the kings, elves, people, and demons of the continent strive for supremacy outside of its walls, he must protect Cirilla from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she has within.
